Chris Efessiou, Mid-Atlantic practice has been accepted into the Emeritus Institute of Management / MIT Sloan Management Executive Education certificate program on Digital Transformation: Platform Strategies for Success. Chris is in the first 30 days of his 100 Day Partner Startup Plan at Newport but has already discerned that the marketplace is rapidly moving toward digital transformations - from products to platforms. Fellow partners, Fred Fink and Tony Cord are seeing that first hand as one of their clients moves from being a product manufacturer to a platform offering an array of digital services. Chris is maintaining his planned, proactive approach to the market and his personal biz dev goals, but will now also be able to offer clients, the benefit of latest knowledge in this area. Lifelong learning and relevance are undoubtedly critical to success so we will invite Chris to share his insights and learnings as his 90 Day program progresses. We are pleased Chris is adding this valuable knowledge to the Newport taxonomy.

She spole on "Knocking Down Obstacles to Growing Your Business." The program chair for this group attended a Greater Houston Women’s Chamber meeting where Irene was the speaker and extended the invitation for Irene to speak to her organization.

Sue Lehrer will be moderating a panel on Senior Living during the National Healthcare South event which will explore The Innovation, Expansion and Impact of Healthcare. It will be held in Houston on February 27, 2018 at the JW Marriott Houston Downtown. The panel is intended to delve into the latest developments in senior living and the dynamic relationship between senior living facilities and the healthcare industry. The panelists will examine the innovations that are changing the way senior living developments are being designed and built, the impact of new technologies and how senior living owners are working in tandem with healthcare systems to provide better, more cost-effective care to their tenants. About the Expert Sue is a strategic business development advisor dedicated to the senior living industry. She proposed and oversaw building the first Alzheimer care communities in the U.S. in the 1980s. Her subsequent experience building the continuum of care includes: adult day care, active adult, independent and assisting living, health plan, hospice, life plan/continuing care communities, memory care, physician, respite and other health and social services.
