Newport's Key Role in Private Equity Acquisition

Newport continues to work closely with our affiliate, Evolution Capital Partners, a private equity firm with a distinctive approach of targeting companies that have as little as $.5 million in EBITDA. Evolution recently announced the acquisition of Lewellyn Technologies, an innovative leader in arc flash hazard risk analysis and mitigation. To date Lewellyn has improved the safety of thousands of companies, including many leading manufacturers. Newport Partner Kim Denney, who has held senior safety compliance positions with major global industrial firms, played a key role in the successful acquisition. She will work closely with Evolution and Lewellyn as an operating partner. Newport intends to play a similar role with other middle market private equity firms. Our partners advise on deals and then, after the deal closes, serve as a Board Member and CEO Advisor--to help execute the private equity firm’s strategy for the new portfolio company and monitor their investment.
