On February 26, 2015, Doug Tatum, Chairman of the Board for Newport Board Group, and Newport Partner Rick Williams will be participating in Harvard Business School Association of Boston's "How Companies Succeed - Why Many Don't." This event will be taking place from 7:00-8:00pm at the Main Club House at the Harvard Club in Boston, Massachusetts.
Most companies - even those founded by talented entrepreneurs - do not succeed. Of those that find real customers and become profitable most are not successful making the transition from a niche or regional market to an enterprise of scale.
At this event, a panel of experts will explore how the leadership teams of companies that do grow to scale transformed their companies, and why other companies are not able to recreate themselves so they are empowered to grow beyond their initial success.
The experts will share insights and experiences with companies across a wide spectrum of businesses and industries that have grown from $10 million to $300 million in revenues and beyond. Companies that do make this transition experience exploding valuations because so many investors understand their potential to achieve outsized returns.
