Newport Board Group Devesh Sharma, a partner in the firm’s Dallas office, will speak at the Dallas Netweavers M&A Forum on Wednesday April 11th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
His talk is titled M&A, the Winner’s Curse and will address the fact that 70% of M&A transactions fail to deliver the value expected. Devesh will address the key pitfalls that lead to disappointing merger results and how to mitigate these risks. Devesh will be speaking from in-depth M&A experience. He has served as Senior Vice President for Mergers and Acquisitions, Americas, for Robert Bosch LLC. In this capacity he managed Bosch’s board review and approval process for potential U.S. acquisitions. He developed new processes to weigh factors such as market risk and cultural fit. He led the acquisition of five companies a year, with responsibility for negotiations and post-transaction integration.
The forum will be held at the Jones Day Law Firm 2727 N Harwood – 5th Floor, Dallas.
