Newport Board Group partner Jennifer Knight and the company she is President/COO of, American Woolen Company, are featured in a recently released video piece produced by Starbucks Coffee.

Jennifer and her business partner Jacob Long were selected by Starbucks for a documentary about their company that is part of a new advertising campaign the coffee chain is doing called "Meet Me at Starbucks." The series features entrepreneurs and others around the world who are engaged in innovation and use Starbucks as a "base" to meet.

The piece focuses on Jennifer and her business partner who recently led an investor group to buy American Woolen Company, located in Stafford Springs, CT. It communicates Jennifer’s passionate interest to be part of a trend to bring textile manufacturing, which has been heavily offshored in recent years, back to the United States. As the company’s web site notes: “We are passionate about reintroducing American craftsmanship to premium textile manufacturing, which for many decades was absent from the luxury apparel market.”

Jennifer is a third generation textile executive and previously successfully ran her family’s business.
