Doug Tatum, Newport Board Group Chairman, will be the keynote speaker at the Association for Corporate Growth’s Central Texas lunch in Austin this coming Wednesday, February 12th. He will be speaking on “The US Middle Market – The New Normal”. Doug will provide an update on the structural change in the US middle market and the implications of those changes to the Investment Banking, Accounting, Legal and Private Equity industries. Doug will be presenting research and data from the Institute for Exceptional Growth Companies (IEGC), a national research institute funded by the NASDAQ Foundation and the Edward Lowe Foundation, where he serves as the Advisory Board Chairman.
Doug Tatum, Chairman of Newport Board Group, has been named Entrepreneur in Residence at the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. Created in 2000, the Institute’s mission is to cultivate, train and inspire entrepreneurial leaders through education, research and applied training, consulting and mentorship and public recognition. The Association for Corporate Growth recently released a book graphically depicting data from GrowthEconomy.org. The book is titled Driving Growth: The Impact of Private Capital on the U.S. Economy. The book compares sales and job growth of private capital-backed companies compared to other companies in the US economy, 1995-2010.
